Florian Wirtz (£7.5m) - Liverpool

Wirtz had an underwhelming debut season, with five goals and four assists.

He arrived at Anfield last summer after several outstanding seasons in the Bundesliga, where he established himself as one of Europe's top players.

He was a slow starter but it did feel like he improved as the season went on and he could be one of the breakout players of 2026/27.

He's expected to play in Liverpool's number 10 role and if he fulfills his potential, he can be fantastic value at £7.5m.

Under new manager Andoni Iraola, Liverpool will surely have a better season than last.

On paper, they have one of the best attacks in the league and Wirtz could be the heartbeat of it.

Liverpool also have some strong fixtures to start the season as they play Nottingham Forest (H), Ipswich (A) and Fulham (H) in their first four.

Dominik Szoboszlai (£7.0m) - Liverpool

Szoboszlai is looking like one of the best-value midfielders in the game.

The Hungarian international enjoyed his best Premier League campaign last season from an FPL point of view, with six goals and seven assists (160 points).

One of his biggest strengths is his versatility and expected minutes.

Whether operating centrally, playing deeper or at full-back , Szoboszlai always found a way to get points.

He hit the defensive contribution threshold 10 times, is on a lot of set-pieces and could also be the first-choice penalty taker.

Szoboszlai has many routes to points and few midfielders in his price bracket can match his combination of creativity, expected minutes and goal threat.

At his price, he offers outstanding value.

Ismaila Sarr (£6.5m) - Crystal Palace

Sarr could be a great differential this season.

The Palace winger finished last season in excellent form. He scored nine goals and two assists over the course of the season from just 24 starts.

Sarr is capable of producing explosive hauls and he's another one who should be nailed to start and play close to 90 minutes.

He is a proven Premier League player and although Palace are under new management, I don't see Sarr's status in the team changing.

The Eagles don't have the best fixtures to start the season but they do go on an excellent run from Gameweek 4.

If he can build on last season's form, Sarr could provide great value.

Phil Foden (£7.0m) - Manchester City

When Foden drops below the premium price bracket, he immediately becomes an attractive FPL option.

He has been off the boil in the last two seasons - a combination of form, injuries and rotation have curbed his progress.

He has however shown he can be an elite player and FPL asset.

In the 2023/24 season, he scored 19 goals and assisted eight. The season before, he scored 11 and set up seven.

When given the game time, he can be deadly.

Few midfielders in the league possess Foden's combination of finishing, creativity and technical ability.

Playing for City also means he'll continue to receive plenty of chances to score and assist if he gets the opportunity.

The arrival of Enzo Maresca could suit him and the new manager's comments indicate he could get a lot more minutes under him.

He mentioned Foden as one of three 'central pillars' to his side as well as other positive comments.

Foden thrives when given the freedom to attack and if City have a good season, he has every opportunity to rediscover the form that previously made him one of the highest-scoring players in FPL.

City also have some plum fixtures from an attacking point of view, as they play Bournemouth, Coventry, Sunderland, Ipswich and Brighton in their first five home matches.

Morgan Rogers (£7.5m) - Chelsea

Rogers may have a new club but he still looks like one of the standout mid-priced midfielders in FPL.

Chelsea made him their club-record signing this summer after an outstanding spell at Villa, where he developed into one of the Premier League's most complete attacking midfielders.

Over the last two seasons, he registered 18 goals and 19 assists.

His move to Stamford Bridge could well increase his FPL appeal, with Xabi Alonso inheriting one of England's brightest young talents.

He can play as a number 10, on either wing or even as a second striker, and he's capable of getting attacking returns regardless of the system.

That versatility should make him a regular starter for Chelsea.

Perhaps most importantly, Rogers now joins a better attacking side. Surrounded by the likes of Cole Palmer and Chelsea's wealth of attacking talent, he should improve on his already impressive attacking returns.

He is worth monitoring though, as due to England making it to the semi-finals of the World Cup he might have a late return, which means he might miss the start of the season.
