Top FPL and fantasy football mini-league forfeits
The top FPL and fantasy football mini-league forfeits - and how Fantasy Football Hub's tips and tools can avoid you facing such a fate.

Winning your fantasy football mini-league is the main goal for managers each season – but what are the best forfeits for the losers?
Be it Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky, Telegraph or Dream Team, no one wants to lose to their friends, family or colleagues.
Fantasy Football Hub is at your service, with our tools and content designed to help members become winning fantasy managers.
If you’re reading this, you shouldn’t need to worry about finishing last – especially if you’ve joined us as a member. But here’s a few ideas you can suggest as forfeits for your mini-league loser.
‘The Robot’
Our Hub AI team beat 99% of human managers last season.
It took our best Gameweek 1 team and followed our AI-recommended transfers to see how our model performed.
Do you and your mini-league mates think you can do better? Put it to the test – but anyone who finishes behind our AI must wear a robot-themed outfit to your end-of-season gathering!
You can follow our progress – and that of all our expert FPL managers – in our weekly team reveal articles.
‘The Bill’
Do you like to mark the end of the season out with a meal or drinks? Let the loser pick up the tab and treat the superior fantasy brains of the group.
If you’re in a big mini-league and the loser would need to remortgage to cover the tab, why not spread the cost?
Let the top three (or maybe the ‘Champions League’ top four) enjoy a free night out and assign a percentage of the bill to each position – leaving the loser with the biggest share.
‘The Bill and the Big Four’
For added incentive to topping the league – and to avoid finishing last – go one better than ‘The Bill’.
In this forfeit, the best players form a committee and decide an added challenge for the loser.
From choosing the loser’s outfit for the occasion to a vile drink of choice for the unfortunate individual, the committee assumes the power of a state-backed superclub for one night only.
That could even stretch to banishing the loser from the event altogether, in favour of a quiet night out with a cardboard cut-out date – as one poor soul experienced.
📝 How to Play FPL: The Complete Guide 📝

‘The Humiliator Extreme’
How far will you and your mini-league rivals go to humiliate the worst performer in your group?
Will you force the loser to record their ‘achievement’ with a tattoo or a haircut – perhaps a 1998 Ronaldo or Radja Nainggollan mohawk?
Game of Thrones fans recreated the famous ‘Shame’ scene and parade their pal through the streets, bells and costumes and all. And Chris Talbot had to pose as a gold statue in London on a plinth recording his fantasy loss.
And following the 2023/24 season, Zac Evans had to advertise his poor performance on a massive billboard.
What extreme punishment will you choose for the worst fantasy manager you know?

‘The Humiliator Lite’
If the ‘Extreme’ version seems a little over the top, maybe a period of time spent in public in the full kit of their bitter rivals may suffice?
For those not too keen on the limelight, performing a stand-up routine at an open mic night might persuade them to get their fantasy act together in future seasons.
‘The Motivator’
Maybe not to the extreme of forcing the loser to walk from London to Brighton – but a physical punishment could work wonders.
A 5k in a funny outfit – like you see at the London Marathon each year – or in the style of Monty Python’s Ministry of Silly Walks should add extra difficulty and motivation to avoid being in a similar situation next year.
‘The Office Junior’
A serious workplace for serious people? Funny outfits or dodgy haircuts may not be your cup of tea.
But a month on tea-making duties in the office, or having to bake cakes for the workforce, may be a fitting finale to the season – and everyone benefits.
Working from home? The postage of a round of cakes to your colleagues is just a hazard that comes with the territory…
‘The Can’t Handle the Heat’
Who can’t handle the heat of fantasy football? Hopefully they don’t mind hot food.
The Carolina Reaper is the world’s hottest chilli – and it lies in wait for the mini-league loser in this forfeit (or another brutally potent variety of your choosing).
For added interest, introduce a sliding scale of Scoville units for the other worst-ranked finishers. The lower you finish, the hotter the chilli you eat at the end of the season.
If you can’t source a Reaper, you can helpfully buy tortilla chips coated in the stuff.
‘The Super Size Me’
The late filmmaker Morgan Spurlock famously ate nothing but McDonald’s food for 30 days in his Super Size Me documentary.
Take inspiration from this for your mini-league forfeit and follow in the footsteps of Ryan Knaggs.
Ryan’s forfeit for losing his mini-league was to spend a whole 24 hours in McDonald’s. He could escape earlier – for every meal he ate, he got to take an hour off his time at Ronald’s place.
Other fast-food outlets are available.
