How to change your FPL team name
Changing your FPL team name is really easy. Here we show you how to do it, with pictures to guide you through each step.
Every Fantasy Premier League (FPL) manager must select a team name – but it’s not set in stone. In this article, we explain how to change your FPL team name.

How to change your FPL team name on the app
It is not possible to change your team name directly on the app – but there is a shortcut on it to open the browser version of the FPL website.
Follow the steps below on the app:
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Fantasy section and click on ‘Help & Rules’
- On the ‘Managing your team’ section, click on ‘How do I change my team name, my team kit or the team I support’
- Click on ‘team details’
This will take you through to a browser version of the FPL site, where you can then go on to change your team name.
Alternatively, just visit the FPL website on your phone’s web broswer and follow all the steps in the section below – but you’ll find the Admin panel right at the bottom of the page.
How to change your FPL team name on desktop
1) Login to the Fantasy Premier League website and click on the ‘Pick Team tab. You should then see your FPL team.
2) Next, find the ‘Admin’ panel. If you’re on desktop, you’ll find the panel on the left
3) Click the “Team Details” link. There you will see a “Team Name” field at the top. You can remove your current FPL team name and replace it with a different FPL team name of up to 20 characters. Your FPL team name cannot be deemed to be offensive.
