Premier League players face a suspension if they pick up too many yellow cards – but what are the rules and who is closest to a one-match ban?

What are the rules on yellow cards?
Players who receive five yellow cards in their sides’ first 19 games will serve a one-match ban.
The threshold rises to 10 yellows over the first 32 games, which is met with a two-match ban, followed by a three-match ban for 15 yellows in 38 games.
A suspension for picking up too many bookings must be served in the Premier League – not the FA Cup or Carabao Cup.

Who’s currently suspended?
Phil Foden was shown a straight red card in the 23rd minute of Gameweek 4’s Manchester Derby for kicking out at Bruno Fernandes – the Manchester City man will return in Gameweek 7.
Crystal Palace’s Axel Disasi meanwhile saw red in the Eagles’ Gameweek 4 defeat at the hands of Ipswich Town, and he will be back in action in Gameweek 8.
