Who are the best Everton FPL players for the 2024/25 season?

Best Everton FPL players: Jordan Pickford (£5.0m)

Everton kept the joint-second most clean sheets last season (13), as many as Manchester City and behind only Arsenal (18).

That led to their number one scoring the most FPL points among his teammates.

Pickford was well ahead of the rest, too. He scored 153 points, 29 more than Dwight McNeil (£5.5m), and was the highest-scoring goalkeeper in the game.

The England international was kept relatively busy, making 121 saves. This was the seventh most in the league and his efforts helped to keep their goals conceded well below their expected data (xGC).

His performances have led to him receiving a price rise this season, up from £4.5m.

But this could still prove good value – and Pickford will be in the contention for a place in many an FPL team come Gameweek 1.

The Toffees’ opening six fixtures rank seventh best, according to our customisable fixture ticker.

Their home games look better than their initial away trips and it was at home where they were strongest at the back.

Best Everton FPL players: Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.5m)

Everton’s starting centre-backs, assuming Jarrad Branthwaite does not leave the club, both come in at £5.0m.

Mykolenko offers a route into the Everton defence at a lower price and should be a starter at left-back.

The attacking numbers do not overly favour him in comparison to James Tarkowski in particular, who offers goal threat from set-pieces.

But given there is not a huge difference in their attacking data on a per appearance level, the saving offered by picking Mykolenko could make a difference when building an FPL team.

Mykolenko scored two and assisted one in 28 games last season. No Everton defender scored more FPL points per appearance than the Ukrainian (3.61).

At the time of writing, Hub AI predicted him to score the joint-most points in the first four games of the season (13.4), slightly behind Pickford’s 15.8 – the pick of the Everton defensive options.

Best Everton FPL players: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£6.0m)

Calvert-Lewin has been linked with a move away from the club, so his place on our list is uncertain.

But while he remains at the club, he is the strongest attacking option according to the data.

The striker largely put his injury issues behind him last season, making 32 appearances.

A broken cheekbone in August, which kept him out for a few weeks, was an unfortunate early injury – but it was less worrying than the recurring hamstring troubles he experienced in recent years.

Calvert-Lewin scored seven league goals, the joint-most alongside Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.5m).

This was an under-performance on his xG of 12.86, with 21 big chances coming his way.

He had the most shots (73), with the majority of them coming in the box. His expected goal involvement (xGI) indicated he should have played a part in nearly a third of Everton’s goals while on the pitch. His actual goal involvement was 28%.

There is plenty of room for improvement when it comes to Calvert-Lewin’s returns, however Hub AI rates his potential.

He is Everton’s top predicted points scorer over the first four weeks. He ranks fifth among forwards priced at £6.0m and below in this timeframe.
